How long does an assessment take?
Assessments usually take place over one or more appointments, depending on complexity. Final reports are sent securely within 3 weeks of the appointment date and / or the date that all screening information has been returned.
Will I receive a report?
Yes. A detailed written report is provided following the assessment.
Can you prescribe medication?
Yes, where clinically appropriate. Ongoing monitoring is provided, and shared care with the GP may be arranged once treatment is stable.
Do you liaise with schools?
Yes, with consent. Information from school is often an important part of the assessment.
What if my child does not meet criteria for ADHD?
A full explanation will be provided, including alternative ways of understanding the difficulties and recommendations for support.
