About Dr Fenton

Dr Kristy Fenton is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with many years of experience working in both NHS and independent settings.

She has worked extensively with young people presenting with attention difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, anxiety, low mood, and complex developmental profiles. Her clinical work includes detailed neurodevelopmental and psychiatric assessment, diagnostic formulation, and ongoing management.

Dr Fenton’s approach is grounded in careful clinical assessment and a thorough understanding of development. She places importance on gathering detailed information from multiple sources and ensuring that conclusions are based on clear evidence.

Alongside diagnostic work, she supports families in understanding their child’s needs and in navigating education and healthcare systems. She also works collaboratively with schools and other professionals where appropriate.

Her practice is informed by psychodynamic and systemic perspectives, allowing her to consider both the individual child and the wider context in which they are developing.
